    Thumbs up The Daihatsu hijet

Diahatsu hijets are manufactured in Japan as a Rightdrive Minitruck they weigh 1400lbs and can carry 780lbs payload. They are powered by a three cylinder water cooled 660cc engine with a cast iron block and alumium over head cam cylinder head. They use a rubber timing belt. As thses trucks have to be 15years old in order to import the Japanese Minitruck or Keitruck as they are known in Japan it is a good Idea to replace the Minitruck Timing belt. As Rubber gets old it can become brittle and crack. This might lead to the belt stretching or even snapping. A new timing belt on a 15 year old Mini Truck is good maintainance.

    Default Daihatsu Thermostat

It is a good Idea to replace the Daihatsu Hijet Minitruck Thermostat as well as the timing belt. A new thermostat is not expensive and it will ensure warm air from the heater and provide curculation for the engine cooling system. If a thermostat is old it can stay closed and cause the engine to overheat.

    Default The Daihatsu hijet

I have a 95 Daihatsu Hijet that I am needing a transfer case output shaft seal. The seal is a NOK BH5249E. I was wondering if anyone knew the dimensions or an aftermarket seal that would fit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
